Thames Valley slot car racing fun!
Thames Valley Section is lucky enough to have a local Slot car racing centre and on Wednesday, 18th October, 12 Section members, friends and family descended on Pinewood Raceway! We had the entire venue to ourselves and, as it is located in an community area, the car park is massive and free. At only £15 per driver, it was tremendous value, too.
The building itself is a WWII ex-military gatehouse and it’s a really cool place. The track was professionally designed and each driver got to drive each car over the course of the evening so that it was completely fair. We raced in two groups on the super-smooth 6-lane track. Kirsty and Michael were the early leaders but Daren came through to pip Michael by a fraction of a second at the final flag!
