TI Auto’s Track Day 2012

Ireland
28 September 2012

TI Autos is a family business located near Dublin’s Phoenix Park and has been sevicing Alfa Romeos for 30 years. Gerry Campbell, the proprietor invited his regular customers, many of whom are also members of AROCI, to a track day on the 27th August at Mondello Park racing circuit to celebrate 30 years in business.

The weather started out most unpromisingly with heavy showers that morning but had cleared up by the time the briefing session was over. Despite the weather many section members were in attendance with 50 cars assembled, 39 of which ventured out onto the track. These ranged from 101 Series Spiders to a Giulietta 1750TB with a good representation of all Alfa Romeos in between but also included an Audi Quattro owned by Gerry’s brother Chris and a Lancia Aurelia owned by Gerry’s friend Kevin.

The sun shone for most of the afternoon and there was a great atmosphere chatting with Gerry, his family and all the other customers. In fact it felt like a big family gathering. Gerry also had caterers on hand dispensing much needed food and beverages during the afternoon and the day was rounded off by the cutting of a big Alfa themed 30th anniversary cake.

Just as the track day finished it started to ruin again. Our thanks to Gerry, Gina and the family for a great day and all of us in the AROCI wish TI Autos continued success for the future.
