South Wales Section @ Prescott Italia
On Saturday 9th May, the South Wales Section of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club met up and drove out from Monmouth Services, heading along the M50 and M5 towards the ever-popular Prescott Hill Climb in Gloucestershire.
Leading the convoy was section secretary Leigh in his Montreal Green Tonale, joined by recent new members Josh and Jay in their striking black Giulia. Close behind came Nigel in his eye-catching Alfa Red 939 Brera, alongside Godfrey in his beautifully restored 1972 Spider. Kai soon joined the line-up in his much-loved silver 916 Spider, rounding off a superb mix of Alfa models.
The journey had its moments, including an unexpected stop as a farmer guided cattle between fields, bringing the convoy to a standstill. Not long after, cyclists on the winding approach roads added another layer of challenge before the group finally reached Prescott just after 09:00am.
In the paddock, the South Wales members linked up with familiar faces Colin and Nathan, along with a number of fellow AROC members. With the weather firmly on their side, the group enjoyed a brilliant morning of hill climb action, relaxed paddock conversations, and everything that makes Prescott a firm favourite in the club calendar.
