Hello and welcome to my newsletter.
I am pleased to confirm details for our main National Events next year.
National Alfa Day is booked for 12th August 2012 at Newby Hall, Ripon, Yorkshire and is being organised by the Yorkshire Section. More details of this to follow in due course.
First on the calendar for 2012 is Spring Alfa Day, which will be held on 29th April at the Cotswolds Wildlife Park, Burford, Oxfordshire. This is kindly being hosted by the Cotswold Section. Not only have they booked a superb venue but also managed to maintain pre booked tickets at the same as SAD this year, just £9.50 per person with under 16s free.
Tickets on the day are £12.50 per adult and £8.50 for under 16s, so 2 adults & 2 children in one car can save £23 by pre booking tickets.
In these continuing financially difficult times, they really have done well in keeping ticket prices affordable for individuals and families alike.
There will be Section parking and your local section secretary will be liaising regarding numbers so please pre book this with them. There will be a prize for the best section display, so why not add a theme to your section area to attract the judges!
This is a great venue for families and individuals alike.
Further details will be available via the magazine and website, including how to take advantage of the discounted pre booked tickets.
I am also pleased to announce that the new AROC website is now live.
The whole site has been built from the ground up to bring a much more modern and user friendly facility. It will represent a re branding of the Club with the style being carried over into the magazine as this evolves under the new editor, Peter Edwards. It is, of course, hoped that this will help to attract new members to join up too.
