Alfa Romeo unveils new Tributo range across Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio
Alfa Romeo has announced its first global special series – Tributo Italiano. Available on Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale models, the exclusive edition pays tribute to the brand’s origins and epitomises Italian style and Alfa Romeo sportiness.
The main features of Tributo Italiano include a two-tone livery with black roof, body-colour body kit, Italian flag on the mirror caps, and a themed interior. The additions serve as evidence of meticulous attention to detail combined with the constant quest for the highest quality.
Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale Tributo Italiano are positioned at the top of their respective ranges and are offered exclusively in the three colours of the Italian flag (Alfa Red, Montreal Green, and Banchise White) paired with a black roof. A retractable glass roof is also available for Tonale.
Exterior details on Tributo Italiano include the front grille with a dark ‘V’ insert and alloy wheels (21-inch on the Stelvio, 19-inch on the Giulia and 20-inch on the Tonale) with sporty red Brembo brake calipers. For the first time on the Tonale, Tributo Italiano includes a lower bodykit, front and rear bumper side inserts, wheel arches, and side skirts all in body colour.
The Tonale is further accentuated by skid plates and side and front accents in matte Dark Miron, adaptive Full-LED Matrix headlights, and chrome-plated twin tailpipes on the Q4 Plug-In Hybrid version.
In the interior of the three Tributo Italiano models there are new black perforated leather sports seats feature hints of red and the front headrests are embroidered with the distinctive new logo of the special series. Other new features include red stitching on the dashboard, seats and door panels. The Tonale Tributo Italiano also comes with a new carbon design dashboard fascia, with the Alfa Romeo logo, ambient lighting and aluminium kick plate.
Tributo Italiano models include dual-zone air conditioning, heated steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles built into the steering column, ambient lighting, sophisticated infotainment system, heated front seats (also ventilated on Tonale) and a premium sound system equipped with 14 speakers by Harman Kardon, including a subwoofer.
All these solutions are designed to offer customers a high level of comfort and refinement. Additionally, the Stelvio and Tonale come with a handsfree electric tailgate as standard.
Stelvio Tributo Italiano is fitted with a choice of the 280hp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine or the 210hp 2.2-litre Turbo diesel, with 8-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel drive. Giulia Tributo Italiano is available with the 280hp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine coupled to the 8-speed automatic transmission. For the Tonale Tributo Italiano, customers can choose between the 160hp 1.5-litre hybrid engine (petrol/electric) with 7-speed TCT automatic transmission or the innovative 280hp Q4 Plug-In Hybrid. The Plug-In Hybrid offers unrestricted access to city centres with a range of 47.8 miles (WLTP city range) in full-electric mode for maximum everyday mobility; up to 373 miles of total range for long journeys out of town. The total output of 280hp offers all the driving dynamics and sportiness expected of an Alfa Romeo.
The standard technical specifications includes active suspension with electronically controlled damping. The DSV (Dual Stage Valve – Tonale) and SDC (Synaptic Dynamic Control – Giulia and Stelvio) active suspension systems adapts to the driving conditions, and provide the driver with the option of a more performance or comfort orientated set-up.
Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale all come with state-of-the-art driver assistance and safety features. Depending on the model, these include: Active Blind Spot Assist with Rear Cross-Path Detection, Lane Support system, Drowsy Driver Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, electrochromatic mirrors and optional ADAS systems for Level 2 autonomous driving and a high-resolution camera that offers a 360 degree view all around the car.

Alfa Romeo selected Matera, one of the oldest cities in the world, as the evocative setting for the shoot of the Tributo Italiano special series. It may not be common knowledge but the grandfather of engineer Nicola Romeo, founder of the Italian brand, originally hailed from Montalbano Jonico, a small town in Matera province.
Famous for its Sassi cave dwellings, Matera was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. The Basilicata city bridges the past and future, between tradition and innovation, and perfectly reflects the essence of Alfa Romeo. A brand with a glorious past, now writing the story of 21st-century sportiness. From the historic streets of Matera, cloaked in the light of Southern Italy, the three Tributo Italiano cars depart for Milan, the Italian capital of technological innovation and the hometown of the brand that was founded there on 24th June, 1910. A common thread is therefore traced between two very different places, brought together by the same desire to look to the future with ambition and pride. Now, most of all thanks to the large numbers of young people there, the city acts as a workshop for projects and proposals in social innovation, sustainability, and the preservation of its historical, cultural, and scenic identity.
Alfa Romeo continues to depict and contextualise its cars in magnificent Italian locations, closely linked to its history. Previously, the wonderful images produced for the centenary of the Quadrifoglio in Palermo, where the symbol appeared for the first time on the Alfa Romeo driven by Ugo Sivocci that won the 1923 Targa Florio. The same was true for the shoot dedicated to the New Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio, which took place in Mantua and around Lake Garda: once host locations for the 1930 1000 Miglia, when Tazio Nuvolari made his mark behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Spider Zagato.
