Fancy a Competition?

For many years AROC has run a prestigious Concours d’Elegance for beautifully prepared cars. Remember that much-repeated Top Gear episode from 2008 with the three Alfas being judged?  Yes, that was it too. Well, nowadays it has been extended, with a ‘Show ‘n Shine’ contest that’s open to all non-standard and modified Alfa Romeos up to 2010.

Concours d’Elegance

We are inviting entries for this which  includes a class for modern Alfas that has been traditionally rather under-subscribed. The newest car permitted are those registered in 2012.

Cars score points based on overall presentation and originality. It’s quite a detailed thing, but enjoyable to be a part of and free for Club members to enter. Judging starts late in the morning so there’s plenty of time to prepare the car there.  Note – minor modifications are permitted. (Non-standard colours for example.

To enter the Concours or the Show & Shine you must complete this form.

Show & Shine

The team has made some changes this year introducing three broad model categories.  Cars are expected to be presented in ‘show’ condition, so nice and clean, but the originality factor is not at all critical.   IMPORTANTLY – it is open to all non-standard and modified Alfa Romeos up to 2010.  This can include highly modified cars, track-prepared cars, or ones with subtle changes, say, non-standard wheels and trim.

Class 1: ‘Period Perfection’

For models introduced before 1986

Includes 750/101, 105, 115, 116, Alfasud, 33, 75, Montreal, Spider S1/2/3

Class 2: ‘Milano Magic’

For models introduced between 1987 and 2000

Spider S4, 145, 146, 155, 156, 164, 166, 916 GTV, 916 Spider, SZ/RZ

Class 3: ‘Cuore Sportivo’

For models introduced between 2000 and 2010

147, GT, Brera, 939 Spider, 159, 8C, MiTo

At Bicester Heritage, the Concours and Show n Shine cars will be in a prominent area.  You can of course give the cars a final spit and polish but will be asked to return to your car at a specific time to help the judges complete their assessment.

For clarity, cars in standard trim are not eligible for Show & Shine but are eligible for the Concours competition.

Whilst ALL Alfas present are effectively part of the show at an AROC event, if you fancy winning a prize and enjoy a bit of a contest, why not enter?

To enter, you MUST complete this form and send it in to ensure you are entered and get judged!
