MITCAR 2016 details announced
MITCAR 2016 Midlands Italian Car Day
Sunday 28 August 2016
BRITISH MOTOR MUSEUM
Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ
The 16th edition of MITCAR keeps up the tradition of being held at a new venue each year, and this time one different from its usual setting at a stately home.
The BRITISH MOTOR MUSEUM re-opened in February 2016 with its new name (formerly the Heritage Motor Centre) after a massive redesign.
Italian car fans may remember the events organised from 2005 to 2011 by Auto Italia magazine at the venue, and AROC National Alfa Day in 2003. MITCAR will be building on that, bringing its special friendly touch. The venue’s extensive refit and huge new car collection will make it very much worth the admission charge.
MITCAR will open at 10.30am and stewards will be on hand to park the cars by marque. All Italian cars are welcome at this the 16th running of the event and all the major Italian Car Clubs from Fiat and Abarth to Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini have again been warmly invited.
We will have prize awards for various categories chosen by a panel of expert judges, plus the Car of the Day award (The Camshaft Trophy) by public vote. Prize giving will be at 3.30pm.
There will be Italian Car dealer displays, plus trade stands present including Autoglym.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the outdoor MITCAR area if kept on a leash, but are not allowed into the museum. The museum has excellent catering facilities – picnics are allowed but barbecues are prohibited.
MITCAR promises to be another excellent, relaxing day at a terrific venue, surrounded by some fabulous cars and friendly company.
