AROC Surrey Section Photo Competition 2025
We are running a photo competition in 2025. The pictures that win the competition will be used on the front cover of the Surrey Section calendar for 2026 and to replace the banner on the Facebook page. We will also be rewarding the winners with a small prize to go with the fame that will result from your photo being published. As well as the cover of the Calendar and the Facebook banner, other pictures may also be used inside the calendar.
Requirements for the pictures are:
- Entrants can only be submitted by current members of AROC.
- The primary subject of the picture must be an Alfa Romeo.
- The picture must be taken at an AORC Surrey Section event as the purpose is to feature our events (e.g. Section Picnic, 30-mile drive Section meetings) held in 2025. The first event is AROC Sunday Lunch at The Mill at Elstead, which will mark the beginning of the competition.
- For the Calendar cover, we need the picture to be in portrait orientation or, if a landscape orientated picture, it can be cropped to a portrait orientation.
- Landscape pictures will be considered for the Facebook page.
- Please avoid having people in the picture (we would need their permission to use their image).
- Photos can be taken on phones, digital SLRs or any other type of camera that will enable you to send a digital image.
- The photo file should be labelled in the following format: – Date(YYYYMMDD)_your name_Event – e.g. 20250629_KKitson_PenshurstPicnic (please use initial last name so that we can identify you).
Photos should be submitted to surreycalendar2026@gmail.com by 23:59, Monday 17 November 2025 at the latest (after the AGM). You can submit at any time before then. Please do not send pictures direct to the Committee they will not be considered. Of course entry to the competition does not prevent you from posting elsewhere – including our Facebook group – and we would encourage you to continue to do so.
The Committee will decide on the winning pictures and the winners will be announced at the Section meeting on 15 December 2025.
