Bluebell Woods, Arlington, no bluebells visit

It was most likely the fact that Bates Green Farm website warned that because of the warm dry weather, that the carpet of bluebells normally seen by now were in hiding which restricted the group visit to a mere handful. Nevertheless, we had a nice walk in warm spring sunshine and although there were very few bluebells, there was a carpet of wood anemones. We rounded off our walk with lunch together in the very busy café. You can’t dictate what nature and the weather will do, maybe next year’s display will be more like as expected.
