AROC Motorsport plans for 2015

After two good but somewhat under-subscribed races this year – and one cancelled for lack of entries, AROC are pleased to confirm we have agreed for 2015 to resume our relationship with CTCRC, and will be running an AROC class within their pre-93 and pre-83 championships, and, should there be sufficient demand, the pre-66 championship. Whilst this does mean that all of our entrants won’t be racing directly against each other, there will still be the opportunity for the Club mutual support that is such a feature of club motorsport, and as we are intending to revive the Victor Ludorum competition (more details about this later) there will still be virtual competition between each other.

 

CTCRC have just published their dates, and although they are still provisional pending ratification of the top-level events, changes in which can always cause cascading change down the motorsport ladder, it is likely that the following will be the programme. All will be double-headers:

 

Silverstone 28/29th March

 

Castle Combe 4th May

 

Mallory Park 23/24th May

 

Donington 6/7th June

 

Brands Hatch 25/26th July

 

Pembrey 15/16th August

 

Snetterton 19/20th September

 

Thruxton 3/4th October 

 

We will be having discussions with CTCRC early in the New Year to finalise details, and will update with details as and when they become available, but in the meantime details of the regs for the championships can be found on http://classictouringcars.com/ – just click on the “Championships” tab.

 

We are sending an email to those who we know may be interested – if you wish to be removed from the distribution please let us know – similarly if you know of anyone who you think may be interested in joining us we’ll be more than happy to include them if advised. We will of course be glad to hear from anyone who wishes to register their interest,  or discuss anything about the plans.
