AROC announces the Alfa Romeo Owners Club Racing Challenge for 2012. The series is run in conjunction with the Classic Touring Car Racing Club and AROC drivers are invited to compete in all categories, especially Category B for Post-Classic Alfa Romeos and Category C for Alfa Thunder Cars.
Alfa Romeo Category B has been designed to cater for production and mildly-modified cars and will probably run with the CTCRC SVG Pre-'93 Touring Car Championship to ensure they don't have to mix it with the Thunder Cars. With a wide spread of classes CTCRC Pre-'93 is another natural home for AROC's mildly-tuned brigade.
Alfa Thunder cars are welcomed to menace the best of the Classic Touring Car Racing Club's Classic Thunder Championship cars: mighty Australian Ford Falcons, Nissan Skylines; WTCC and BTCC cars all feature in the mix so look out for some potent Alfa Romeos who are threatening to join and beat the best.The rolling start for a Classic Thunder Championship race is something to be enjoyed as the ground truly thunders.
If any AROC member is interested in taking part in the series, they must register their interest with Sally Langley. Sally will inform the CTCRC who will register them for CTCRC membership and inform the BARC. Once your CTRCC registration is received, you will be able to enter via the BARC.
