Andiamo a Milano 2019 – The Final Tour

Since first making noises a year or so ago about one more tour, thankfully, a tour is now planned by Ken Carrington, and 50 rooms provisionally booked for fifteen nights.
basic itinerary will be:-

Saturday 22nd June depart Dover (approx 09.30) to Calais, then to Brussels for our first night.

Sunday 23rd June Drive to Canach just near the city of Luxembourg, for our overnight stay at the Kikuoka Golf Resort.

Monday 24th June Drive to Mulhouse in the Alsace region.

Tuesday 25th June Drive through the Jura mountains, down through Switzerland for our next stay in Chamonix in the shadow of Monte Blanc.

Wednesday 26th June Cross the Alps via the G. St Bernard pass (or the tunnel if you prefer) to our next stop in Turin.

Thursday 27th June Travel the short distance to Milano.

Friday 28th June Drive from Milano to Parma, where we will stay for two nights.

Saturday 29th June Spend the day at the ‘Vernasca Silver Flag Hillclimb’ – a superb event.

Sunday 30th June Drive to Rovereto on the northern corner of Lake Garda, where we will spend two nights.

Tuesday 2nd July Return to Milano where we will also stay for two nights.

Thursday 4th July Milano to Basel in Switzerland – another Alpine crossing.

Friday 5th July Basel to Reims in the Champagne region of France.

Saturday 6th July Reims to Lens for our last night.

Sunday 7th July Drive to Calais – depart approx 13.10 for Dover

We are using Novotel and Mercure hotels from the Accor group –– all are 4 star except Brussels and Reims which are 3 star.

So that’s the bare bones, and between now and departure there will be lots going on to add some ‘meat’ to the bones!

The total cost, based on twin or double rooms is £2890 per car with 2 persons.

This cost includes:-
• Return ferry crossings with P&O Ferries
• 15 nights half-board accommodation (based on dinner, bed and breakfast)
• Tour pack comprising of:-
 a full route plan
 rally plates
 and screen stickers
 two ‘tour’ Polo shirts
• breakdown cover
• personal insurance cover (both covers with Chris Knott Insurance as a ‘block cover’ for all)

It does not include:-
• Drinks with evening meals (unless otherwise specified)
• Lunches
• Fuel costs
• Museum / other entry fees
• Tunnel / road tolls (but the route is planned to avoid tolls)
• parking costs at hotels where not included

To secure one of the 50 places available, I now ask that you complete the entry form, and return it to me as soon as possible. More important is that I ask for a deposit of £870 (approx 30%) per car right away, as from around 15th December, I will be paying substantial deposits to secure what are currently provisional bookings. The balance would be required by 30th March 2019
