February Monthly News Letter

I trust you are well.
Our January Monthly Meet was a busy affair. 11 of us sat down for food, and wine (not a whine) , a beer, non-alcoholic beers also available or a soft drink. As usual many subjects were covered and thoughts exchanged. Plus some more points earned for the Section Competition see below:

Important. Final date for me to book tickets for Classic Car Show at Culford is actually 1st March, anyone wanting to come needs to pay me the £15.00 by then as they request clubs block book tickets. Please email ASAP to confirm and receive payment details. This is the only way to guarantee a space at the event as they have a 300 car waiting list already! Our stand is currently half full.
The Essex section is doing their annual drive to the Spettacolo Sportivo on 27th-28th June at Zandvoort race circuit, they have a few spaces left if anyone would like to join them. See the end of this newsletter for further details and contact info.
If you need a new fleece, polo or beanie, especially in this cold weather, we still have some stock in the club shop and are building another order, see below; or contact me for an item list. We are also working on doing a section calendar for next year so do send me your best photos!

Also, I am taking bookings for Helmingham Hall Festival of Classic and Sports Cars on the 2nd August! So if you’re interested in having a car on the stand, do get in touch. Soon!

Thursday 26th February, Monthly Meet, 7 pm. The Greyhound, 2 High St, Sawston, Cambridge CB22 3BG A new venue for us, but food comes recommended.
Thursday 26th March, Monthly Meet, 7 pm. The Angel, Sallow Lane (old A11) Larling, Norwich NR16 2QU A new venue for us, great easy access just off the A11 and with 3 car parks!

Essex Section trip to Zandvoort.
It’s called Spettacolo Sportivo and is a fabulous event – Ken and I have been a few times, as has Phil Gotts and Nick Foster (and probably more of you that I don’t know about). It’s the last weekend in June. It’s a weekend event and is not just a static show, there’s racing on the track and some really special cars, the club shop is excellent and there’s lots of other vendors selling car parts and memorabilia.
I have reserved rooms at the Best Western Zaan Inn, at a rate of Single: 150 EUR per room, per night and twin: 165 EUR per room, per night
Incl. breakfast, Incl. 21% VAT, Excl. 7,88 EUR city tax per person, per night.
