The Suffolk drive was as ever an enjoyable day, and unusually for us we wrong slotted following (or not as it happens!) Malcolm’s Tulip roadbook! The Saxon Village wasn’t huge but really showed the old Saxons knew how to build a house that stayed cool on a hot day! Plenty of photos on the facebook page link.

Sunday 4th September Classics at Glemham 2022, our stand is fully booked and entries for club stands have closed. We have a great selection of cars from a 1958 Spider a 1963 2600 Spider, S2 Spider, 916 Spider, 939 Spider…. Plus 105’s 116, 156, 159 right up to a Giulia GTAm There are still tickets available for the mixed classic area if you missed out on the club stand. See link below. Sunday September 11th, 2022 from 12 PM
Italian Car and Bike Meet at The Oaksmere , Rectory Road, Brome, Diss, Suffolk IP23 8AJ the first Italian Car and Bike meet at The Oaksmere Hotel nr Diss. Old, New, Fast or Slow, Alfa to Vespa it doesn’t matter as long as it’s Italian! Any Italian motor vehicles are welcome, as well as the Italian F1 Grand Prix being broadcast live. There will be Italian food and drink available all afternoon. Gates open at Midday with the event ending at 5pm. Motor Traders and Owners Clubs welcome but please contact us in advance so we can establish numbers in advance. Tables in the restaurant can be booked direct with the venue if required.

Sunday 25th September Cambridge Drive. Meet 10am , Start Point Caxton Gibbet , Costa Coffee, Unit 2 Ermine St, Caxton, Cambridge CB23 3AS, finish point, via a Malcolm special, Tulip Road book, Anglesey Abbey, Quy Rd, Lode, Cambridge CB25 9EJ
If you’ve not been to Anglesey Abbey, it’s a stunning NT property, see image below, and the car parks free if you don’t fancy going round the house!
Sunday October 9th. Rhadamanthus Navigational Rallies Something a little different if anyone fancies a go at a Navigational Rally we have been invited to enter this event. If you’ve ever done one of our Suffolk/Norfolk/Cambridge Drives, Malcolm who sets the routes has won this so many times!! Malcolm has been a regular competitor of Rhadamanthus Navigational Rallies in the past and he suggested to me that it might be worthwhile to see if any section members in AROC would be interested in entering. The regulations are already published on the West Suffolk Motor Club website and the entry list is open but, if you were interested

Tuesday 25th October, Monthly Meet, 7pm, The Plough, Green End, Fen Ditton, Cambridge CB5 8SX Pie a pint and good natter. A regular haunt for those in the west of the section.
