East Anglia
9 September 2020

Hi All

I trust you are well.

For those that couldn’t make Classics at Glemham, a great day was had by all. We had 24 cars on the stand and few in the car park. The organisers were quite strict in their cut off times! This years event was much larger than last years, with more clubs, more cars and more acreage to walk over! I hope I spoke to most people but know I missed a few, I hope you enjoyed yourselves and we get to catch up soon. I have attached a few images (photo credits to Derek Cattani) but there are more on our facebook page. See link below.

Our next events are;

East Anglia Section Event.

Dunwich Fish and Chips, Sunday 27th September 2020 at Flora Tea Rooms, Beach Rd, Dunwich, Saxmundham, IP17 3EN. Meet at 3pm in the car park for a socially distanced chat and then fish and chips on the beach from 3.30. There id no indoor eating at the café because of the Covid risk assessment policy so bring seats or a rug and hope for sunshine! https://www.floratearoomsdunwich.co.uk/

ALSO this month:

Alfa Romeo Championship at Snetterton on Sunday 13th September.

We are invited to join with the South Midlands section for their day at Snetterton.

Some of our western members might like to join the run or those in the east may want to head straight to Snetterton.

From Paul;

Hi All. We are intending to watch the Alfa Romeo Championship at Snetterton on Sunday 13th September.

The plan is too meet up at Brampton Services (where the A1 and A14 meet) at 8.00 AM have a quick breakfast if you need one (probably McDonalds lol) and then leave 8.30 – 8.45 and drive to Snetterton (approx. 1hour 15 Mins)

We have limited this to our regulars currently although it may be some from East Anglia will join us. Martin Edkins has hopefully arranged for us to have a parking area set aside.

We will not be allowed in the pits unfortunately because of covid and I have attached the MSV Spectator Guidelines which you need to read before attending.

Tickets are available via this link. https://snetterton.msv.com/SN-20-750MCNEW. Tickets have to be pre-booked .

For your own Covid procedures please inform me you are attending as well.

I hope as many of you as possible can join us.

Southern Alfa Day Saturday 19th September, Stonor Park, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 6HF 10am-18pm

This should be a great event, with hundreds of local and distant Alfas, not to be missed, though I will as I am working that day!

If anyone would like to convoy to the event let me know, we have a contingent heading south from Thetford way I am sure a meet up point time could be arranged!
