We had prime position at the show and managed to avoid the annoyingly repetitive fairground organ! Whilst we love ‘Tie a Tellow Ribbon … there are only so may years our members can take it without a break.
The event started with the inevitable game of ‘Car Jenga’ to get all our lovely Alfas into the allocated position while also finding room for the gazebo. Fortunately when we reach the much head scratching phase a local Ford Club came to our rescue and let us have some of their space, There are no problems just resolutions.
With the Gazebo up, Colin and Caroline had kindly again brought along the means to serve breakfast. After a fraught start to the day this was well received by all.
Despite the seemingly adverse forecast there was just a smattering of rain and the rest of the day ‘turned out nice’. The place was sold out and packed with some great cars and biles on show, by the end of the show we were in full sunshine and all was well.
We like this show, its for charity and we have been there since the start over 10 years ago. It may be time for a change next year but then we’ve been saying that for a while now and it still draws us in
