The Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK is delighted to announce that we are launching our online AROC Virtual Racing Championship for our members.  And what’s more, we have prizes sponsored by our long-term partner Chris Knott Insurance!

Using the popular Assetto Corsa racing simulator – on Steam for the PC – the Championship will be contested over 6 rounds on Sunday evenings from the 19th of April to the 24th of May and open to four classes :

  • MiTo QV
  • Giulietta QV
  • Giulia Quadrifoglio
  • Historic – Giulia GTA

The Classes will run together but points will be awarded separately with four Class Champions and one Overall Champion.  The overall Champion will receive £75 of Steam or Amazon vouchers along with a unique trophy provided by our friends at Totally Alfa!  Not only that, the four class winners will also receive £25 of vouchers plus a trophy!

The Calendar has a mixture of races on the Indy and Grand Prix circuits at Brands Hatch, the National, International and GP circuits at Silverstone and at Spa – and includes two reverse grid double headers.

The Championship is open to Club members only and is limited to 40 competitors – on a first come, first served basis.

However, if there is significant demand, we can run multiple additional 40 car Championships. There is no limit to the numbers in each class – only the series total limit.

In addition to the race weekends, we have set up mid-week practice sessions, alternating between circuits with a dry session on Wednesdays and wet on Thursdays and we will run a number of non-Championship ad hoc Challenges for those unable to commit to the entire series

In parallel to the AROC vRC, AROC is also organizing a Championship for registered competitors in the 750 MC Alfa Romeo Championship – the Virtual Alfa Racer Championship. These will run over the same courses, but with slightly different classes and fewer driver aids. And the overall Alfa Racer Champion also gets a fabulous trophy!

Once both Championships are completed, we will run a Pro-Am Series between the top vRC and vARC drivers.

To compete, you will need a copy of Assetto Corsa and a reasonably fast broadband connection. You will also need some downloadable content – including Dream Pack 3, which includes the Brands Hatch Circuit. If you don’t currently have the game, Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition – which includes all the available downloads – is just £30.53 on Steam at the moment.
