Our July 3^rd meeting was our annual Show and Shine fun concours competition.  The event was again held at the Langton Arms at Tarrant Monkton, a beautiful old Dorset thatched pub in an idyllic village setting.  The pub has the benefit of a large field where we can display our cars.   Unfortunately, the weather decided not to co-operate this year and, although the evening started out dry, the rain quickly started and soon reached biblical proportions, driving almost everyone indoors in the pub.   

This year’s event was sponsored by Peter Smart Classic Alfas to whom we offer a big thank you.  Ultimately, a total of 21 Alfa Romeos were displayed together with a couple of interlopers in the form of a Fiat X1/9 and an AC Cobra. 

The Show and Shine competition was judged by Peter Smart who did a heroic job in the rain, carefully looking over very wet cars !   Eventually we all moved to the pubs function room and the winners were announced as follows.  Each winner received a certificate and a bottle of Prosecco.
