GTV Spider (Type 916) 1995 - 2004

The Spider was first registered in October 1998, the early history of ownership is not clear, its 3rd owner acquired the car in September 2001 from a dealer in Surrey, CW Woods (Reigate) Ltd, as an "Alfa Romeo Approved Used Car' at 16456 miles and from this point on the documentation history is complete. 

It was sold once again in June 2004 by a dealer called Ride and Drive (Surrey) Ltd for £8990 with 31600 on the clock and this owner kept the car right through to July 2017 when, with 44000 on the clock he decided to sell it. I saw it advertised in Auto Italia, and possibly the Club too, and made contact with the seller, unfortunately there was a communication fumble, my fault, while at work and a dealer came and bought the car for cash before I could arrange to see it. 

Nevertheless, it appeared on Auto Trader a couple of weeks later, for more money obviously.., and after some prevarication I decided to buy it anyway after negtiating it down a bit.  Apparently the car had changed hands between dealers in the interim so it had a busy couple of weeks!  

The previous owner had looked after the car very well, kept all the documentation, which I've continued but obviously by the time I got the car it was 19 years old and a lot of the engine/gearbox seals went quite quickly as I was using it more often and it took a while to get these sorted out.  

I used various garages to get bits and pices done locally to me in Colchester for the first couple of years but they, even the local Alfa dealer, struggled a bit so in 2019 I booked it into Avanti Autos in Ipswich who have been brilliant at helping me keep this lovely little car on the road and in great condition.
