History
I bought my GTV in 2014 after seeing it advertised on eBay. I was looking for a project which was just as well as it was in a very sorry state. I've always liked the lines of the GTV and like a lot of people I suppose, hankered after a car fondly remembered from my youth. It had been off the road since the early 2000's and was suffering from rot in all the usual places i.e everywhere. It's been a long journey to getting her back on the road but finally I'm there. I've done all the work along the way, teaching myself as I've gone. It has required a lot of fabrication and welding. All the running gear has been removed, painted and rebuilt where needed. The engine and transaxle has been removed and refreshed. I have painted the car myself in my double garage, no small task, and whilst it's not as good as I would like I can honestly say I've done everything from start to finish within a limited budget. The result is another GTV saved and back on the road which might otherwise have been broken for spares and lost forever. I believe the car started it's early life in Scotland possibly supplied by Fishers of Edinburgh. It's now had a total of 8 owners and has 69000 on the clock. I can't verify the mileage 100% although the history I've got seems to support it.
