A brief history
The car was first registered in Ireland in 1998. It was then sold back to a dealer in Cork and subsequently purchased in 2001 by its longest owner. They kept up with all of the servicing and spared no expense keeping the car in good condition. They moved to the uk in 2006 and took the car with them, continuing to keep up with the maintenance of the car. Around 2018 the car had major rust repair and prevention done to it. Around this time the car began seeing less and less use. I got the car a few months ago now and apart from some minor maintenance work the car is in mechanically fine condition.
Whats been done?
The car remains almost entirely mechanically standard. Apart from the airbox I have fitted. (For the sound obviously)
however there have been a plethora of visual changes. These were all done before my ownership but i think they are in good taste so in plan to just keep it that way.
These visual changes are were all done essentially to make the car look a bit more like its hotter counterpart; the cloverleaf.
Therefore, the smaller factory wheels have been swapped for some 15” teledials. A cloverleaf spoiler has been fitted. And the front and rear seats out of a cloverleaf are also installed.
Perhaps at some point i will find some side skirts off a “Junior”?I would rather a pair of those than the real deal cloverleaf ones as I don’t plan to actually put any cloverleaf symbols on my car as i don’t believe in up-badging personally.
