How the car found us cloverleaf

We weren't really looking for another Alfa, but sometimes a car finds you, rather than you finding it.

I was away with the 916 Register on their 2025 European Road-Trip, and whilst at the Classic Remise in Dusseldorf, caught up with someone that I hadn't seen for years. He casually mentioned that he was thinking of selling his daily driver, and the more he told me, the more interested I became, until when he said that he had specced it with a sunroof, I was hooked. He was still looking for its replacement, and as we were definitely not in a hurry, we left it there. Some time later he contacted me to tell me that he had found his new daily and so the Estrema joined our fleet. It did however mean that something had to leave us, and that was the 916 Spider that I had completed the European Road-Trip in back in June.

So, on 24th August 2025, we picked up the Estrema.

So what exactly is an Estrema? cloverleaf

During my discussions at the Classic Remise, one of my first questions was 'What exactly is an Estrema?' and that is a question I have been asked numerous times since owning it.

Mechanically, it is the same as a Veloce but with the by then deleted options of the adaptive suspension and the mechanical limited slip differential, as standard. The other main differences though are to the trim, and in particular the interior.

Externally the differences to a standard Veloce include a carbon fibre 'V' on the front grill, carbon fibre door mirrors and 19" QF five hole alloy wheels.

Internally the differences are in the materials used. The centre console, dash swathe and door handle surrounds are all carbon fibre and there is grey leather with red stitching on the top of the dash board and the doors. The seats are half leather, half Alcantara.

If 'How many left' is to be believed, and I can't find a other information to cause me to doubt it, only 30 Estremas were sold in the UK in late 2022 and very early 2023.

This particular Estrema cloverleaf

This car was sold by Research Garage, Nuneaton, and registered on 26th November 2022.

When we acquired it on 24th August 2025, it had already covered 56,900 miles.

The original owner had two options fitted, which were a carbon fibre boot lip spoiler and the sunroof. He also requested that the brake calipers be changed from black, which was standard on the Estrema, to red.
