Car as acquired February 2015 from long term off road storage
Impulse ebay purchase 1977 Lhd car originally from Holland but acquired from a damp garage in Warrington, originally unsure what the end goal would be , the decision was made to create a fun car which would have an increased level of performance from standard
Stripped to a bare skeleton
Plenty of bracing added to support shell , I needed to ensure all rot was uncovered
Panel removal
Stripping out body panels revealed a reasonable core shell structure to work from

Ensuring a clean start for restoration and a key for paint

Decided to convert the shell to “Step front” , trial panel fitment which is always time consuming
Butt welding with Tig then hand planished joints
Tig welding used for this process, low heat low distortion.

Painted at home with the help of a couple of talented friends

Stencils used to apply the white over red then flatted back and lacquered to a perfectly smooth finish

Upgrade commenced with sound protection and new bespoke wiring at Alfaholics’s
Installed lightweight glass all round
Including heated front and rear screens with new seals
Front suspension setup
Alfaholics’s installing Titanium suspension , race springs and double adjustable dampers , rose joints everywhere and six pot super lightweight brakes
Rear suspension and axle
Rear suspension upgrade to Titanium trailing arms deep diff pan rifle drilled halfshafts and stainless steel brake lines
Gearbox upgrade
Close ratio super polished gear set and synchro rings installed together with racing clutch
Exhaust fitment and underbody detail

Twin spark unit with Motec engine management and fuel injection

First test drive 8th September 2023 with my good friend Ian Whitwell
23 and a half months later a first test drive , expectations met and exceeded to say the least, very grateful to all the Alfaholics’s team especially Max And Andrew Banks.

Wing Mirror Fitment
Quick pit stop on the way to Prescott Hill Climb, Wing mirrors fitted courtesy of my good friend Mr Ian Jephcott who has an eye for detail and leaves nothing to chance , even produced the factory measurements to guarantee a top Job. I have driven the car for six months but decided on safety grounds wing mirrors are now a must.
