A Guilietta? Are you sure?........ cloverleaf

My first Alfa owning experience came in 2003 when I purchased my first Alfa Romeo.  A 2000 plate (W167 OAN) Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 Twinspark in silver.  The car was every bit the Car of the Year status it had earned a few years previously.  I absolutely loved it and couldn't quite believe I owned a car like it.  It was a one owner, 'reps' car so it had done decent mileage which, of course, made it more affordable but was in beautiful condition inside and out.

Since then, I have had a Spider and two MiTo's but always loved the shape of the 156.  When Alfa launched the Guilia, the wife and I went to the launch event in Manchester and I decided that a Guilia would be next.  In the summer of last year, I struck a deal with a local dealer to purchase a 68' plate Guilia in Misano Blue with brown leather.  Unfortunately, the deal fell through!

By then though, I'd decided that it was time to move on from the MiTo so I kept looking.  I came across a Guilietta Sprint in Black and immediately loved the style.  Honestly, I'd not considered the Guilietta previously but the Sprint looked so good that I wanted to know more.  I knew that my local Alfa dealership had a Sprint in Misano and so I set off, 'just out of interest' to see if the car looked as good in the flesh.  You know how the story goes and not long after test driving it, I took delivery of BT70 KPY.  (Now N17 PAF)

My Guilietta Sprint was first registered in December 2020 in Leeds, as a company car of Arnold Clark.  It remained with them until I purchased it in September 2023 having covered 19,945 miles.  Since then, I have covered a further 4,000 miles and at the time of writing, am just about to clock up 24,000.

Although, I have driven Alfa's since 2003, I've only just joined AROC and I am so looking forward is bringing the Guilietta along to the coming events during 2024.
