Alfasud (Type 901) 1972-1989

I purchased my Verde acqua S3 1.3 Ti B935PAA in 2023 from a fellow sud register member.  LOUIE 🍀 (Luigi )🇮🇹 had been sitting motionless in previous owner ' duggie' garage after 8yrs of use . Then in 1994 engine threw a camera belt and broke 2 valves into piston so the engine was removed , stripped and never put back together ot fitted vackminto car. So he lay under blankets in an attached snug garage until my purchase. Once back at the workshop, over several months ,the car was found to be incredibly solid & original @60k miles .Everything mechanical was refurbished including steering suspension brakes calipers fuel system wiring engine gearbox etc. Alloys refurbished & fitted with new tyres and all interior out cleaned and refitted all to show its 60,000 miles of carefully usage  & years if storage. After some debate & soul searching a respray was decided after a year of using once recomissioned, not due to rust but 40 yrs of  routine body repairs and many shades of green ruined the car. So he was stripped again of all exterior trims & mouldings and went off to body shop for 2 new rear wheel arches nsf wing repair and a coat of paint. Whilst away before Xmas I stripped , cleaned and sprayed black all bumper arches & trims & refitted car back up in Dec 2024 once back from body shop ready to be enjoyed in 2025 & beyond.
