How I acquired my MiTo Cloverleaf
After a lovely delivery driver wrote off my Giulietta in October 2022, and long battle with insurance their insurance company. They had denied any involvement although dashcam footage and pictures of the driver etc proved otherwise. Been looking at other vehicles and in June 2023 spotted this one was not to fair away. So drove the 159 over to take a look, it was raining the Mrs sat in the MiTo for a bit fiddling with the knobs and stuff, whilst I looked at the engine, wheels, underneath you know the usual. She had pleasure in pointing out all that was wrong with it (charming). I took it for a test drive, and got the devil inside as I do with all small cars.
Wife kills the MiTo
My wife driving back from her mums, a route she travels every week hits a sunken drain at 40 in the dark. Disaster. The engine mounts had come lose, drive shaft came out of the knuckle. So it sat until I had time to sort it.
Subframe and arms
While sorting the engine mounts, I decided to replace the subframe and both arms. But I spray painted them myself in the colour of the car.
Custom boot install
I have designed and built into the boot, 2 x 12 inch subs, and an amp. It is in the colour theme of the car.
Mini MiTo
Some may have seen this last year (2023) speeding around NAD. It took time to find this model and then time prepping and painting it.
