Overview
The 4C concept car was revealed at the March 2011 Geneva Motor show and it made its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June the same year. Production of the coupe started in 2013 with the spider arriving in 2015. Production ended in 2020.
The 50th Anniversary Edition cars were launched in 2016 to mark 50 years from the first generation Alfa "Duetto" Spider in 1966. Limited to just 50 examples for the UK market only. It is believed that 15 cars were produced in Madreperla (Mother of Pearl) white, 10 in Giallo Prototipo (yellow) and the remaining 25 in Competizione Red. This car is number 9 of 50.
Features
Designed by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo and hand built at the Maserati plant in Modena, Italy. Carbon fibre monocoque chassis "tub" (weighing 65 kg) with front and rear aluminium subframes, roof reinforcements and engine mounting. The outer body is made from Sheet Moulding Compound and the engine block is cast in aluminium.
The 50th Anniversary Edition cars are numbered (as denoted by a plaque inside the car) and have a unique flag on the door mirros. They also came with a bespoke Caracalla leather travel bag designed to fit the car, with stitching to match the colour of the car.
This car has red leather seats, a leather dashboard, carbon fibre mirrors, roof bar, side intake and instrument panel, a race exhaust, air conditioning, and a stereo. It comes with Alfa's (DNA): Dynamic, Natural and All weather modes, plus Race mode with launch control.
