Overview
The Giulia was unveiled in June 2015 at the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo in Arese, Italy. It made its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June 2016. Production started in 2016 with the Veloce arriving in 2017. Production continues to the present day.
The Veloce model debuted an exclusive 2.0 litre turbo charged in-line four engine in a higher state of tune that the standard models. It sat between the Giulia Super and the flagship Giulia Quadrifoglio. The Misano blue paint was initially exclusive to the Giulia Veloce.
Features
Designed by Centrol Stile Alfa Romeo and built at the Alfa Romeo Cassini plant in San Germano, Italy. It is the first mass-market Alfa Romeo vehicle to use a longitudinal rear wheel drive platform since the 75 which was discontinued in 1992. It features a 50/50 weight distribution and carbon fibre drive shaft.
This 2018 Veloce shares the enhanced exterior styling of the Giulia Speciale, including sports bumpers, black gloss window surrounds and rear diffuser with dual exhausts. A particularly nice feature are the drilled aluminimum paddle shifters on the steering column.
This car has black leather heated seats, heated leather steering wheel, electric mirrors, cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, dual zone climate control, infotainment system, and (very occasionally) stop/start until I remember to turn it off! It comes with Alfa's (DNA): Dynamic, Natural and All weather modes.
