A long time resting cloverleaf

My introduction to Alfa Romeo was in my early teens when a friend of mine had a '73 2000 Berlina, good times.....

I eventually bought such a car in 2006, by chance, the same colour, same trim, but not the same car. I used it, restored it, drove it to meets, events, took it on track and even back to where it was first built at Arese near Milan, Italy.

Through ownership of this first Berlina, I was contacted through word of mouth within AROC regarding this 1750 Berlina. I was asked what too look for with the view to it being bought as a project, sent some pictures and info about it being owned by father then son from new etc.

it had stood in a damp garage at the family home in Edinburgh for 30 years, 1985 to 2015 and needed to be moved/sold as the house was being cleared for sale. Its potential buyer decided not to go ahead and forwarded the details to me to share around to anyone who may be interested. After a few enquiries and no interest I decided to take it on, having only seen a few pictures of it.
The 1750 Berlina put up a fight when well respected Scottish Alfa Guru Euan Colbron extracted it from the garage on my behalf, to then transport it down to me in Walsall, West Midlands.

There then ensued an on/off process over five years to restore the car back to its former glory along with a few subtle modifications, creature comforts and personal touches.
