Living with the Tonale cloverleaf

In the first month of ownership we had taken part in Spring Alfa day at Duxford and driven to, and around, Scotland. The fast steering response and paddle shifters made the twisting mountain roads in Scotland easy to negotiate and while a relatively heavy car, it can still be driven energetically.

Using Loch Rannoch as our base, we drove through the beautiful pass of Glencoe and onwards to Glennfinnan and it's magnificent viaduct, as seen in the Harry Potter films, complete with the Jacobite steam train. We also visited the Funicular railway in Aviemore where snow was still present on the Cairngorms. A day before leaving Scotland we travelled east to Glamis castle leaving the mountainous landscapes behind, the weather by this point had become overcast with rain. The Tonale didn't skip a beat on the entire trip and we drove the 480 mile homeward leg non-stop from Scotland to our home in Suffolk thanks to the excellent ride comfort and adaptive cruise control.

We plan to attend the Scottish Italian car day at Hopetoun House, South Queensferry in 2024.
