History of my ownership of the car
Bought the car in June 2020 from an independent trader in Gloucester, this was after the first Covid lockdown and when you could not just turn up and look around a car lot. I was initially not sure about the colour , but I now love it , especially when the sun hits it and the gold pearl shines through. it is not a common colour from what I believe and always draws comments. I love the tan interior and adds to the 'Italian feel' of the car.
Colour: Lipari Grey with red brake calipers Interior: Tan sports interior Options (I know of) : Climate pack, rear seat air vents and USB socket, flappy paddles
At this point the car had covered 21k miles and 3 former keepers, on its original '66' plate
The car is now sitting on 65k miles in March '24, largely trouble free, has been serviced regularly at NJS Alfa independent in Pershore Worcs, has had its cambelt and water pump changed at the recommended time.
Issues I have had:
Broken wiring loom to electronic hand brake causing it to stick on
Wet footwells, a common issue on the Giulia due to design of AC drain
I assume it is the original battery as I have not changed it, Start Stop works after a long run, never had an occasion where heated rear window has not worked
The car seems to eat its way through its tyres, I have tried many top brands and struggle to get any more than 12k miles from a set, inner edge of front notorious for premature wear.
I have made a couple of minor cosmetic changes, a Maxton lip spoiler on the bootlid, and a couple of gel badges on some of the bland interior centre console.
After 4 years of ownership I still love the driving experience, the car always turns head and it is nice that is a rare site on UK roads
