This 1750GTV Mk1 was sold in 1968 by McCairns Motors in Dublin. The first owner was the late Thomas Gaffney, a close friend.  75,000 miles were recorded in the first three years and then the car was dismantled with a view to mechanical repairs. Everything was stored until I acquired it in 1989. I had the body restored, etch primed and painted by Dungan Brothers of Ballyboughal; the engine and gearbox rebuilt by Alan Bennet of Benalfa with new crankshaft, pistons, liners and bearings; and the interior restored by TA and JM Coburn. I put the car on the road in 2005 and since then I have driven about 13,000 miles trouble free. Gerry Campbell of TI Autos provided a steel manifold and exhaust, electronic distributor, Girling master cylinder and routine maintenance. The outer and middle sills were replaced in 2015 by John Hunter Motors. I share ownership of the car with Thomas Gaffney's son Kevin.
