History with Tony Bentley cloverleaf

I first saw this beauty before COVID when I was the proud owner of an amazing Atlantico Blu GT Cloverleaf 1.9 diesel. Having had most of the available upgrades done to improve the car I bought a GT 3.2 V6 locally and, although it was a beautiful car, I couldn't get used to the difference in handling and different driving style on the V6 so I sold it two months after buying it!

At the time I got talking in one of the Facebook groups to the owner of this Blu Metallico 156 GTA and, having realised that it was out of my price range to buy for cash I toyed with the Idea of getting a PCP deal on a Giulia Veloce. COVID then struck meaning that everything was put on hold for over a year.

In the summer of 2021 I was browsing the selling sites ( love a bit of car porn 😂) and I noticed that Marco had put her up for sale and my circumstances had changed meaning that I could now afford to go for her. In September 21 I bought a one way train ticket ( always inadvisable when you're going to look at a car) to Bradford from the South Coast and at the end of a very long day I was the proud new owner of V9LFA plus the car that was attached to the plate 😂.

This car had already been improved greatly by Marco with many mods. 330mm Brembos finished in a lovely yellow, together with a Metallic Bronze finish to the original 17" GTA wheels, beautifully detailed engine covers in blue and rechromed inlet runners and fuel rail, Cat back Ragazzon exhaust giving a very deep sound, KW Coilovers, Eibach ARB, after market Tyre pressure warning system with a red display to match the Alfa internal dash. Bluetooth connectivity with a nice phone holder.

I've had a few things done in my ownership. Rust on all arches sorted, remap and Autodelta Carbon intake for a bit more power. Dodgy Xenon headlight fixed, lovely new Blue and Brushed Aluminum GTA Gear knob. Rear suspension mounts and it drives as close to perfect with no rattles or squeaks now 💙

A few bits I still want to get sorted, scuttle panel is looking a bit tired so will have to get it painted but you'll be hard pushed to find a better 156 GTA out there!
