HISTORY
Manufacture
The car was manufactured on 25th July 1990 and sold on the 31st January 1991 in the UK. The body colour was Alfa Red. (email from Marco Fazio, Alfa Romeo Archivist, 29th April 2014).
Early Life
Little is known about the car’s early life.
The current owner purchased the car in June 2012 from James Bell of Congleton who had acquired the vehicle in June 2011 with 115,200 miles on the clock. It appears that the car was rarely used under his ownership as it only travelled 200 miles in a year. It failed two MOT tests mainly due to brake and exhaust issues which were all rectified to allow MOT certificates to be awarded.
Prior to this the car appears to have been based in the Crewe area and although it passed MOT tests in 2008 and 2010 it clearly wasn’t on the road as it travelled only six miles in that two year period. In fact the car has seen very little use in the last 14 years having travelled only 5000 miles between 2010 and 2024.
Current Owner
The current owner (the seventh since the car was first registered) acquired the car in June 2012 with the odometer showing 115,500 miles. A fairly unpleasant journey from Cheshire to NE Scotland was then endured as the car suffered excessive vibration at motorway speeds. It was subsequently discovered that none of the road wheels had been balanced!
The car was in storage from 2018 through to 2024 although in 2023 it had a complete engine rebuild and a full respray.
