This GT1300 Junior, in Rosso Amaranto was delivered, as new, to a dealer in Wolverhampton on 22 Aug 1969. It spent most of it’s life in the Malverns, until 2018.

In 1985 it was fully stripped, to bare metal, and preserved in dry storage until 2012. The new owner replaced most of the panels on the vehicle, including inner and outer sills. In 2016 the car was finally back on the road.
In 2021, the suspension was upgraded and GTA style wheels were added.

I became the current custodian late 2022, and have enjoyed driving this lovely car as much as I can, although it has been a bit of a journey. The cylinder head gasket was replaced and the cylinder head milled. In April I finally bit the bullet and had the Weber  carburettors replaced, with new Webers. I’m very pleased with the difference, easier to start, very smooth running, and in idle, lovely sound.

In 2024 my wife, dog and I did the NC500, well it was the NC1700 for us, bearing in mind our start point.
In 2025, we’ve already been to Exmoor on a 3 night Classic Canine Tour. 10 cars, 11 dogs and 20 humans. What could possibly have gone wrong…..nothing did. Excellent break.
