Ex-USA Spider cloverleaf

I bought this car in late 1992 in upper New York state - at a time when the £ was worth $2! It had been owned as a summer car, had only covered about 62K miles, and accordingly was in pretty good condition, as seen above. I had it shipped back to Liverpool, along with another rather tattier donor 105 spider, and a Sunbeam Imp! Once duties etc were paid UK lights were fitted and the car was mot'd and registered in May 1993, and then used for fun trips for several years - including to the AROC event at Nostell Priory in, I think, 1997, when as the Cover picture shows, we partook in a Gymkhana. The car was parked up in dry storage in 1999 when it failed to proceed - possibly with an issue with the Spica injection. As I was then running a 7-day a week business it was left to stand....and I regret to say has only been out of its storage once since to be trailered to a classic show at Hoghton Tower. Each year the threat is that I'll revive it this year!
