Hi All

I trust you are well.

January  saw us at the Four Horseshoes at Thornham Magna for our traditional start to the year. A most entertaining time was had by all with many varied subjects discussed, one topic ended up with my contacting a museum in Appledore for some photos of an exhibit! We also discovered a new food type, pork cake! Think fish cake more than Victoria Sponge, It was good I am led to believe. Then of course there were deserts to enjoy!! Photos below;

Sunday 24 April 2022 – Spring Alfa Day at Burghley House

For 2022, Spring Alfa Day returns to Burghley House, Stamford.  Burghley is one of the largest and grandest surviving houses of the sixteenth century and a magnificent example of the great Elizabethan ‘prodigy’ houses. Conceived by William Cecil, Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, between 1555 and 1587, Burghley is a testament to the ambition and vision of the most powerful courtier of the first Elizabethan age.  More information can be found at https://www.burghley.co.uk/

I hope to see you all soon.

Best wishes

Graham
