February 2019 Meeting
For our February Meeting, we tried a new venue, the Elm Tree in Ringwood. This pub has the benefit of an upstairs meeting room which we used sucessfully for our Event Planning meeting in January. So we had high hopes for our February meeting that were somewhat dashed by the pub being very crowded, with special meal offers and a music quiz going on which made it excessively noisy. It seems that this is a regular “first Wednesday” event which suggests this is not going to work for us as a regular pub venue
That said, we will give it another chance as we will hold our March meeting there. This will be a Motoring themed quiz night organised by Peter Smart and Ian Brookfield and will be held in the upstairs meeting room….so hopefully away from the noise !
