August Monthly Newsletter 2019
Hi All.
Well that was a busy and successful month I feel!
Starting with a good turnout at on Sunday 14th July at Kimbolton Country Fayre; 17 cars and some more new faces, then another great monthly meeting on Thursday 25th July at The Bunbury Arms with a dozen Alfas, we managed to get 11 in a row which was an impressive site. Picture below.
We ended July on the 4th of August(!!?) at the Festival of Classic and Sports Cars at Helmingham Hall, 16 cars this time on a lovely day amongst thousands of people and probably a thousand classic cars.
There are lots of pictures on the Facebook page (AROC Facebook Page) There were 566 cars on the club stands and probably the same again in the classic cars field. The AROC gazebo became the ‘Prosecco’ tent and was very popular, so was the gin tasting stand so I’m told!
Our next event is the Suffolk Drive in two weeks, (see below) we must now have numbers to ensure we are catered for at The Rose , so please those intending to come let me know by the Friday 16th August
Sunday 25th August Suffolk Drive 11.30am. RSVP
Starting from the Sainsbury’s car park at Bedingfield Way IP32 7EJ and finishing at The Rose Inn Shotley IP9 1NL. One of Malcolm’s tulip road books will guide the way! The plan is to meet at Sainsburys at
11.30am for a quick natter and to depart from 12 noon for the drive to The Rose at Shotley for 1.30-2.00pm lunch. Please let me know if you are planning to join us, and for which part if not all.
Classic Cars at Glemham Hall 1st September RSVP
Looking further ahead this is a new Classic Car event at Glemham Hall, it’s raising money for Children in Need. I have arranged for ALL Alfas to be eligible for free entry to the club stand so break out your new
Stelvios or your 2900B Lungo. Again it would be great if you could let me know if your’re coming so we can advise the organisers of the space required.
Monthly Meet Wednesday September 25th, 7pm. The White Horse, Bury Road, Beyton, Suffolk, IP30 9AB
Our regular roving meet up to discuss topics of the day! Or cars or most likely the cost of Alfetta restorations!
I look forward to seeing some familiar and new faces over the coming months.
Graham
