Once again we are running a Photo competition this year. The winning photos will be used to illustrate the AROC Surrey Section Events Calendar for 2027 and to replace the banner on the Facebook page. Aside from the bragging rights, members who submit winning photos will be awarded a prize at the December meeting.
Requirements for the pictures are:
- Entry to the competition is open to current AROC members only.
- The primary subject of the picture must be one or more Alfa Romeos.
- The picture must be taken at a AROC Surrey Section event as the purpose is to feature our events (e.g. Section Picnic, 30-mile drive Section meetings). The first eligible event is the AROC Surrey Sunday Lunch earlier this month.
- For the cover of the Calendar we would ideally like the picture to be in portrait orientation, or if a landscape orientated picture one that can be cropped to a portrait orientation. Refer to the cover of the 2026 Calendar for an example of what is required.
- Landscape orientated pictures will be considered for other areas of the Calendar and for the banner on the Facebook page.
- Please try to avoid having people in the picture as we will need seek their permission to use their image in the calendar.
- Photos can be taken on phones, digital SLRs or any other type of camera that will enable you to send a digital image.
- The photo file should be labelled in the following format: Date(YYYYMMDD)_your name_Event. For example: 20250629_KKitson_PenshurstPicnic (please use initial and last name so that we can identify you).
- Photos should be submitted to surreycalendarcomp@gmail.com, as an attachment, by 23:59 on Monday 16th November 2026 (after the AGM). You can submit at any time before then. Please do not send pictures direct to the Committee, they will not be considered.
- The Committee will decide on the winning pictures and the winners will be announced at the meeting on 14th December 2026
