Hi all

I trust you are well.

In 2025 we are launching a competition, points can be scored and prizes won!

The list of venues is attached, they are all on the facebook group too with postcodes and images

The 2025 AROC East Anglia Drivers Competition

The competition will run from Wednesday 1st January until midnight on Saturday 15th October with prize giving at the AGM.

The region has 60 landmarks ( potentially rising in future )

The object is to visit as many locations as you can and take a photograph at each landmark, monthly meet, cars and coffee or shows visited. Each photo must contain the location and your car with full number plate showing. ( instructions will be given for each photo ) The photos will be posted to a Facebook page specific for this competition. To protect people’s privacy this will be a closed Facebook page which will only be open to entrants of the competition and competition organisers.

Just add your photo with clearly visible reg and location details at the location in the comments section for each or as many as you can of the 60 location images.

You will score 2 points for photo location, 3 points for cars and coffee, 4 points  for pub meet and 2 points for a car show. If a non-Alfa has been used for these half points will be scored. Venues visited before events result in no points, venues visited after events get half points.

When posting photos to the competition the following information must be stated for each photo: The location, the landmark number , description and date on each photo will be required For example ‘ C2 the pike and eel cars and coffee 12th April ‘

All photos need to be clear and easy to identify against the description. If the photo taken is vague or cannot fit enough proof of location, additional supporting photos need to be added to validate the landmark. Obscure photos or photos taken in darkness where the landmark cannot be identified will not be accepted.

The top 3 drivers will win prizes based on their position. In the event of a tie additional locations may be added to decide the winner. ( NAD attended a photo at the hanger taken.  ) Numbers plates and description of cars being used will need to be given for points to be added to your points total. Cars are registered to one driver at a time to avoid complications scoring or points sharing. Courtesy cars will receive full points whether Alfa or not providing they’re for an Alfa undergoing works.

Prize options will be shared in another post.

See you out and about.
