November 2024 Meeting
Back at the Empress of Blandings on November 6th for our first pub meeting of the autumn/winter. In addition to picking through the bones of the previous day’s US Presidential election (!), we held a quiz evening which was ably planned and administered by Stephen Paddock. The quiz covered, not only Alfa Romeos but, to mark this year being the 60th anniversary of AROC, the quiz also tested people’s knowledge (or recollection ?) of the year 1964. With 32 questions on offer together with a few liberally awarded bonus points, the final standings were :
3rd place : Mark Siney 19 points
2nd place : John Lapham 20 points
1st place : John Parr 28 points
John won a bottle of wine and is seen here with Stephen Paddock and the Empress of Blanding’s famous pig !
