The Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK includes a very active GT Register, where members can meet virtually online and, of course, in the real world at our incredible AROC events along with GT-only events.
As part of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK, we benefit from all the membership advantages including our bi-monthly magazine, Alfa Romeo Driver, our local Sections, Model Registers and, of course, over 300 events nationwide including the biggest Alfa Romeo events such as Spring Alfa Day, National Alfa Day and MITCAR.
Nathan Mahoney, our GT Registrar, is a life-long Alfa Romeo fan, having owned a Alfa Romeo 159 Limited Edition and now a 2008 Alfa Romeo GT Cloverleaf Q2.

The GT Register has a diverse membership of all ages, and the GT is a fabulous Alfa Romeo with all heritage you would expect of a sporting Alfa.

The Alfa Romeo GT (Type 937) is a sports car that was produced by the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo between 2003 and 2010. It was the last production Alfa Romeo designed by Bertone. The GT was introduced in March 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show. Production started on 28 November 2003 at the Pomigliano d’Arco plant, which the GT shared the assembly plant with the 147 and 159. A total of 80,832 units were produced.

Engines
The GT primarily shared its engines with the 156. The layout and design of the engines is identical, although with some differences in power outputs, with a 170 PS (125 kW; 168 hp) version of the diesel available and the quoted power output of the V6 slightly lower at 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp) instead of 250 PS (184 kW; 247 hp) for the 156 GTA.

Blackline
The limited edition Alfa Romeo GT BlackLine was launched in April 2007. This special model was created to boost desirability for the GT, and featured unique black metallic paint, 18-inch alloy wheels, and interior sports styling. It came with a Bose sound system, black leather sports seats with red stitching, and aluminium pedals, and was offered with the 2.0 JTS petrol or 1.9 JTDM diesel engines.
- Launch Date: The Alfa Romeo GT BlackLine was launched in April 2007.

Cloverleaf / Cloverleaf Q2
The Alfa Romeo GT Cloverleaf was launched in the UK in July 2008 as a special edition model. It featured a sportier trim with distinctive styling, including exclusive 18-inch wheels, a body kit, lowered suspension, and specific exterior paint options like Carbonio black, Alfa Red, and Atlantico blue. The top model was the 170bhp 1.9 JTDM with a Q2 limited slip differential and a sport button.

Q2
he Alfa Romeo GT Q2 was launched in October 2006, initially as a 1.9 JTD diesel version featuring a limited-slip differential for improved traction and handling. A new “Black Line” trim was also introduced at the same time. A later “Cloverleaf Q2” model was released with a more powerful diesel engine and a more aggressive appearance package, around 2008.
Key launch details
- Launch date: October 2006
- Initial model: 1.9 JTD Q2, featuring a mechanical limited-slip differential
- Purpose of Q2: To improve traction and cornering in the front-wheel-drive car by distributing torque more evenly between the front wheels, especially under acceleration.
- Other updates: The launch coincided with the introduction of a new “Black Line” trim level.
- Later model: The “Cloverleaf Q2” was introduced later, featuring a 170 bhp 1.9 JTDm engine and a distinct appearance package.


Interior
The Alfa Romeo GT interior features a driver-focused design with a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a rake and reach adjustable steering wheel, and a deeply hooded instrument binnacle with analogue dials. Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, a premium 8-speaker stereo with steering wheel controls, and a trip computer. Options varied by trim but could include leather seats in multiple colors, a 10-CD changer, navigation, and cruise control.
Standard interior features
- Driver-focused cockpit: Includes a height-adjustable driver’s seat and a leather-clad steering wheel with rake and reach adjustments.
- Instrumentation: Large, deeply hooded analogue speedometer and tachometer dials, with subsidiary gauges for fuel and temperature. Gauges are backlit in red for night visibility.
- Climate Control: Sophisticated dual-zone climate control, allowing for different temperatures on each side of the cabin.
- Audio System: A premium 8-speaker stereo with a 4×40 watt power output, which often came with a CD player and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.
- Trip Computer: A multi-functional display provides trip computer data such as fuel consumption and average speed.
- Safety: Six airbags, including side curtain airbags.
Optional interior features and trim-specific upgrades
- Upholstery: Standard models featured Alfatex, while full leather was an option or standard on higher trims. Available leather colors often included black, tan, and red.
- Sound System: Higher-end models, especially the 3.2 V6, could come with an upgraded Bose sound system with MP3 capability.
- CD Changer: An optional 10-disc CD changer was available.
- Cruise Control: A standard feature on many models, with the option for steering wheel controls.
- Parking Sensors: Rear parking sensors were an available option.
- Navigation: Satellite navigation was offered as an optional extra.
- Heated Seats: Heated seats were an available option on some models.
- Cloverleaf Trim: A special trim level that included unique features like leather sports upholstery, aluminum pedals, and a red “Sport” button to adjust the throttle map.


AutoDelta 3.7 V6
The Autodelta GT 3.7 Super is a modified Alfa Romeo GT with a supercharged 3.7-liter V6 engine, producing 405 bhp and 375 lb-ft of torque. It features a Rotrex supercharger, larger fuel injectors, and a revised cylinder head, and it can accelerate from 0-62 mph in about 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 182 mph. The vehicle also includes upgraded suspension, brakes, and exclusive bodywork with improved bumpers for better cooling.

- Brakes: Upgraded Brembo performance brakes, with 355mm front discs and AP Racing 6-piston calipers on some models
- Drivetrain: Limited-slip differential with a 30% lock (on some models) and a stronger clutch to handle the extra power
- Traction Control: Reprogrammed to intervene less aggressively
- Exhaust: Bespoke stainless steel exhaust system
- Wheels: Custom 18-inch light alloy wheels (e.g., 8.5 x 18”) with 235/40 tires
