May 2023 Meeting
On May 3rd, we held an early evening convoy drive around the Lower Test valley followed by dinner at a pub. Similar to last year this was planned, organised and led by John and Judith Parr. This year, we started in Romsey and took in the villages of Timsbury, King’s Somborne, Stockbridge and Longstock, eventually arriving at the Mayfly in Fullerton. The weather co-operated and we enjoyed a beautiful sunny evening which certainly made the countryside look it’s best. With 11 Alfas, the convoy made for a fine sight and hopefully impressed the huge number of bikers gathered in King’s Somborne !
A very convivial dinner was held at the Mayfly where we had our own private room and were joined by more members and their Alfas who had not done the convoy run. A number of participants were attending their first Wessex meeting, these being Neil and Sheila Carpenter, Martin and Angela Lettice, Richard and Sue Bruce-White and Robin McConnachie. To all of these, we offer a warm welcome.
Many thanks to John and Judith and also to Stephen Paddock who was on point to lead the second half of the convoy had we become separated !
