August saw our first outside event with the  Italian Car and Bike day organised by the Ox & Plough at Old Buckenham.  They are best known as a bikers pub, often playing host to 1000 bikes on a Tuesday night all parked up on the largest village green in England.  There was a good turnout of bikes of all makes and countries of origin  including Ducati’s Motor Guzzi and a 1200 Laverda plus plenty of scooters, all parked together in a very friendly atmosphere with the Harleys and choppers. But the Alfas were certainly the stars of the show, we had 27 of us in two rows, one on with the Abarth group and two turned up late and parked separately. It was a great display.

Especially as we had some nice pairs, a pair of Suds, a pair of Ochre Yellow 105 Bertones a 1750GTV and a 1300 Junior ,(plus a 2000GTV in Piper Yellow),  a pair of red S3 Aerodynamicas, (plus another one late on), a pair of S1 boat tail Duettos  939 Spiders were popular too as were 916 and variants, we also had a new Giulia Veloce 280 with just 900 miles on the clock and the first for us at a section meet. A Stelvio, looked resplendent with glistening metallic black paint and red interior. Phil’s trusty 75, fresh from its trip to Brands Festival Italia clicked over the 140000 mile marker on his way home. We also had, a156,147,159, Giulietta
