April Monthly Newsletter 2021

11 April 2021

Hi All

It’s a long one this month!!

I would like to thank Peter for his most entertaining, (and most attended zoom meeting to date! Over 20 attendees.) talk on his Alfa history that started with his father and through the restoration of his 1750GTV and the trips and places it has been including some stunning photography of its tours of Scotland and all the way to Portugal .Not to mention some of the wildlife seen along the way and fly fishing on Scottish lochs and rivers. I have attached a photo of section members joining the meeting.

As a completely random and nigh on impossible motorsport based Mastermind question, the mug front left, has an image on it. Name the location, the car, the driver and the year. Bonus point for the artist. Yes I realise you cant see, the car, the driver… but if you have the mug! Or a singing butler… that’s a clue!

Wednesday 28th April 7.30pm Zoom TalkPhil Gotts ‘Following the Durrells, by car’ (https://www.durrell.org/wildlife/the-durrells/) Phil has again kindly offered to do a talk again for us, this time on his drive to Corfu from Suffolk, via the scenic route! For those that don’t know, Phil often drives long distance across Europe for family summer holidays. I do hope you can join us. Via zoom link below, full zoom meeting details at the bottom of the email.
