Daytime visit to RAF Scampton Heritage Centre

Well we had our midweek day time visit to Scampton in March that I mentioned last time.

Unfortunately the Red Arrows were away that day but often they can been seen practising during these visits.

Anyhow we had an enjoyable visit with plenty to see including lots of memorabilia about the Dam Busters, a small aircraft museum, Guy Gibson’s office and the Grave of his dog Nigger that was killed in a road accident the night before the Dambusters mission and buried during the raid.
