Sherborne Classics and Supercars Show, July 17th
The Sherborne Classics and Supercars Show returned on July 17th for the first time since 2019. This has been a popular fixture on the Wessex calendar for many years and, as in recent years, we arranged a joint AROC stand for the Wessex, Somerset and West Wilts Sections. A total of 23 cars were displayed on the stand with a huge variety covering 18 different models.
In addition to the cars on the main stand, this year, the organisers introduced the concept of the “Gold Zone” where car clubs were invited to select our five “rarest, most interesting or prettiest cars”. These cars were then invited to parade down the entrance drive, the owners were interviewed over the PA and then the cars were parked up in a special Gold Zone area. The five cars we selected for the Gold Zone were :

In addition to the Alfa Romeos, we were treated to large displays of other marques across the huge showground. The weather remained hot and sunny all day with the Wessex gazebo providing some welcome shade !
