September – Pembrey Circuit

Following the success of the South Wales region joining National Alfa Day, we went it alone in September and had a small club stand at Pembrey Circuit. Thank you to everyone who made the effort given the weather forecast!

Although the day itself was largely dry, the venue had some flooding issues, so not everybody could make it through to the club stand. However, we were lucky enough to welcome a selection of cars including a 4C, a brand new Giulia Quad (with 800 miles on the clock!) and a stunning 156 GTA Sportwagon (that’s actually for sale further down this email).

September – Gathering at Two Rivers, Chepstow

We launched our gathering at a new venue that proved a great success on the 1st October at the Two Rivers in Chepstow. The car park was large enough to accommodate a selection of cars, including Nath’s Stelvio Quad and Richard’s 147 GTA. Feedback at the venue was very positive and we had members visit from the Forest of Dean, Bristol & as far as Llanelli.

Discussing the future of gatherings, for 2026 I am going to set up two events each month — one in the West & one in the East. This means we can capture as many members as possible and keep travel distances to a minimum. Twice throughout the season, we’ll hold a gathering at a central venue but this allows as many people to attend as possible. Check out the updates on these emails / Facebook / South Wales AROC website for upcoming gatherings & locations.

ARGT Register Cotswold Drive Out Day – This Sunday

Meeting point: McDonalds Abergavenny NP7 9LQ, departure 08:30am

I will be there from 08:00am and we will drive over to the meeting point below for 10:00am arrival.

Please let me know if you would like to attend, so I can let Nathan know.

From Nathan Mahoney (GT Registrar)

Hello all, hope you’re all doing well . So you’ll all be relieved to hear that no more voting is required . Our 2025 annual GT event is all planned out (Pheww). So we are all locked in for Sunday 19th October 2025 at 10am. The meeting point is The Cotswold Barn (Cotswold Barn, Ganborough, Longborough, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, GL56 0QZ) where breakfast is being provided so we can all fuel up for our day ahead. We will then depart at 11am for a 103 mile carefully planned route taking in all the splendour that the cotswolds has to offer. We will be stopping at Jeremy Clarkson’s “Diddly Squat Farm” then proceeding onwards to our lunch stop at the ‘Classic Motor Hub’. Once lunch has been had we will then continue onwards on our route. The full route will be shown on the day as I want it to be a pleasant surprise . But in total its around a 3hr and 27 min route so there will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy our wonderful GTs, and having looked at some of the roads we will be driving on, they do look like proper ‘Alfa’ roads. If your familiar with the YouTube channel ‘Harry’s Garage’ then thats a little hint for you . A full route guide will be provided on the day along with a QR code to Google maps so all you’ll have to do is follow your phone and you’ll be fine. I am hoping we can all stick in convoy through the whole route, but as that may be unrealistic the stopping locations provides us with a good chance to catch up for those that may get caught behind. Currently I have 16 cars confirmed which is amazing!. However id love as many GT owners as possible to come along and enjoy our cars and also the great community that we have. If you require any further details on the day, then please feel free to get in touch with me. Im very much looking forward to it, the GT really does deserve the spotlight and hopefully events like this provide us all with a great opportunity to enjoy just how good these stunning motors are. Im hoping we will also have a professional photographer turning up also so some great shots of the day will be taken, however id encourage all that are coming along to bring your cameras as its promising to be one of those days you won’t be forgetting.
