October Monthly Newsletter 2019
Hello Everybody.
I hope the last month has been kind to you all.
The September Monthly meet at the White Horse Beyton was again well attended with a double figures headcount of members, eating and chatting and not standing on the well grate! The merchandise went well again too!
This month’s meet is at an old favourite, proper hearty pub food and if you’re a brown beer drinker, a good range of ales. Other beverages are of course available.
Monthly Meet Thursday October 24th 7pm The Plough and Fleece, High Street, Horningsea, Cambs, CB25 9JG. Usual format: pie and pint and good natter about everything!
November AGM Sunday November 24th 1pm, Edwardstone White Horse, Mill Green, Edwardstone, Sudbury, Suffolk CO10 5PX
The AGM will be from 1pm and lunch will be at 2pm. So we can all eat together they are going to do their version of roast chicken supreme. If there are any vegetarians coming or anyone would prefer, they have a homemade mushroom wellington option. I will need numbers attending for the pub so please let me know if you intend to come. Remember this is your chance to guide next year’s events and shape your club.
This month’s pictures are from the HRDC Classic Alfa race at Castle Combe earlier this month. Just look at that varied field. For the record Chris Snowdon and Ted Pearson swapped places throughout the race until, in a last ditch passing attempt, Chris in the no. 29 Alfetta, spun, letting Ted in his Trophy Sud, run in the winner. I look forward to seeing some familiar and new faces over the coming months.
